Hey Reader,

Yapping videos may be poppin' off right now, but give it time... the vlog is about to make a serious comeback.

Woah, what? Vlogs? That was so 2015.

Trust me, I know, but here's what's happening.

People are TIRED with a capital "UGHHHH" of creators selling them courses, branded content, and ads in their feed. With AI running content running unchecked, the masses are screaming for originality and a little PERSONALITY, which is why yapping content is having it's moment.

But what we're about to witness is the revival of the vlog.

Polished content is already entering it's final countdown and authentic, raw, unscripted, unchained content is going to make it's way to the forefront again.

What does this mean for brands? What does this mean for creators?

It means BRANDS, you better find a way to make your content relatable and CREATORS you better stop trying to sell people your courses.

Gen-pop is OVER your shenanigans and they want you to stop cosplaying as gurus and experts and give it to'em straight.

And brands, it's time to make some actual entertainment rather than more ads.

"Ok, but how am I supposed to do thi??"

We don't need to over-complicate this. Really.

Whatever industry it is that you're in, people just want you to stop selling to them and give them content that is helpful, entertaining, and for the love of God, RELATABLE.

Speak their language. Make your industry less mysterious. Be a real person rather than a professional.

If you wanted to be an actor, that's the profession you should've chosen.

Real. Raw. Unscripted. Uncut.

My theory is that brands are going to start hiring creators and their in-house content team and we're going to see more brands becoming media studios.

Companies are going to rely more on their employees to generate their content on platforms like Instagram, YouTube and LinkedIn.

That may sound scary if you're the top-dawg.

"What? My employees generating content for our company?? WOAHHH HOLD ON."

I know. Terrifying. But if you want content at scale, if you want to focus on other areas of the business, let creators and loyal employees do their thing.

If you're a freelancer or own a small business, take out the camera and start documenting. Speak to us like you'd talk to a friend.

I'm going to personally give this a go (again). Many of you don't know this, but I was a vlogger back in the day and the fact that it's making a comeback is SO exciting.

Is vlogging coming back? 👍 👎
